Ray Ray's Story
Our sweet Ray Ray is again looking for a family to call her own.

I am going to be honest with you. Ray Ray is not an easy dog and she needs an owner or family who is really dedicated to her and her needs. She is the sweetest girl on the planet and loves dogs, people, kids, cats, and likely anything else she could meet. That being said, Ray Ray does have some struggles. She has a seizure disorder and this time we have not found a medication combination that is an ideal fit for her. She has had a medical workup and everything in her blood work/exam was normal. In her most recent adoptive home she was having grand mal and cluster seizures, but since being returned we have only witnessed one seizure from her. This leads us to believe that Ray Ray has a very hard time with change. We know she has some pretty severe separation anxiety as well, which likely plays into the quantity of seizures she was having. Ray Ray does not handle being left home alone well and will bark in her kennel and has frequent accidents when left alone. Here at our facility she has had very few accidents when kept on a consistent potty and feeding schedule. Ray Ray takes quite some time to settle into new homes and environments, and due to this she tends to struggle greatly in new homes. Thus far she has been returned in less than a month after adoption 3 times. Ideally Ray Ray would love a home where someone is home with her most of the time, or where she can tag along with you when you leave the home. We understand that this is a big ask, but we are hoping that someone with the right lifestyle will be interested in our sweetest girl. Aside from her separation anxiety, and seizures Ray Ray truly is an amazing, sweet, and well behaved dog. She spends most of her day napping and is content to just chill alongside her people and doggy friends. She is not very playful with other dogs, but does not have any issues with them at all. She hangs out around large groups of dogs everyday. Ray Ray is very sweet and gentle and adores every person that she has ever met. Now that she is comfortable being at our facility she is calm and quiet in her kennel, it did take her several months to fully settle in. As previously mentioned we know that finding a home willing to work through her issues is not an easy task, but we want to do what we can to find her a loving home. She does fine here with us, but is by no means happy living in a facility. Ray Ray is 6 years old, spayed, and current on her vaccines. We are waiving her adoption fee to any family who may be interested in giving her a chance. Her adoption includes lifetime free boarding, basic group classes, and socials for life at WCC. If you think you can give this girl the home she needs please feel free to message me directly. At this time, I want to only pressure instate adoptions.
