I am 1 year 6 months old and weigh 20.5 pounds. I need a new home because I was picked up as a stray. I am being fostered in Kansas City, MO.<br/><br/>I am a good lovable boy although still a bit of a puppy. I am working on some basic commands like sit and stay and come. I’ll do anything for a treat. I am extremely food motivated.<br/><br/>I very much look forward to my two meals every day and clean up my dish every time. I could stand to gain a pound or two. I eat from a slow feed bowl as I gulp it down quickly. I get along well with my pug brother in my foster home. <br/><br/>I have the energy of a 1.5 year old. I do some zoomies and will love to learn to play fetch or some game in the yard. I would love to have a playmate. I will follow you wherever you go. I love affection and will give it back to you.<br/><br/>I sleep in an open door kennel or a dog bed on the floor. I’m sure I would be happy to sleep in your bed. If you have to leave for a bit I won’t protest staying in my kennel and will need to be restricted with no one at home. I may whine a little but will lay down and sleep. I do enjoy a dog treat or two and I love cheese. I can go up and down steps without a problem. I am very energetic and will do best with an energetic dog playmate or a child that is older than a toddler. I am learning to stop jumping up on people. I do enjoy having tennis balls and stuffies.<br/><br/>My foster Mom thinks I am the best boy. Affectionate, happy, active and loving. My coat is soft and shiny. I have some dandruff but that will dissipate with quality food and bathing. I am looking for a loving happy home with a dog pal or children who will love me and play with me.<br/><br/>Here's a little more about me:<br/>Housetrained? Yes.<br/>Rides well in the car? Yes, a little nervous but will improve with time.<br/>Good with other dogs? Yes<br/>Good with cats? Not yet tested<br/>Good with young children? Kids probably 5 or older would be great.<br/>Good with strangers? Yes<br/>Shy or confident? He’s just a bit goofy and happy and greets anyone.<br/>Barks? Not often and is pretty quiet. He will bark when alerted by another dog.<br/>Apartment qualified? No<br/>Any Special needs or Health Issues? Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced.
