Raven's Story

***This dog is not located at the shelter and appointments will need to be scheduled to coordinate with their foster home***

Our sweet, sweet border collie sister duo are available for adoption! Raven and Starfire were picked up by animal control in The Dalles as strays, after never getting claimed or picked up they became CGHS dogs! These two sisters have been living in a foster home for almost a month now but they are ready to finally find their furever homes (together or separate). Their foster has left some key information on each of their personalities, and here is what they wrote for Raven:

"Raven is sweet and confident, but a little stubborn at times. She knows how to sit and lay down but you have to have her full attention. She is perfect in her crate and knows what to do when I say “kennel” she’s very quiet in there and has never had an accident in there or in my house. She is a big time chewer, she really loves pig skin bones, busy bones, and toddler shoes... lol She is absolutely amazing with my kids, so sweet and loving but she can get a little excitement mouthy with them and that can be a little overwhelming for them at times. She doesn’t bite, just playful mouthing. She is interested in our cats and will chase them but I wouldn’t say she needs to be in a cat free home, I can manage it by telling her no."

These girls have been doing great with the dogs, kids, and cats in the household so they will make the perfect addition to any family! They are a working breed who will require lots of mental stimulation and exercise to be truly fulfilled but with how sweet their demeanor is we have no doubt they will be amazing family dogs! They are still puppies who will need training, such as recall and learning basic commands of course!

(They have been living in a foster home together with no accidents so these girls are available as a unit or individually)

Age: 11 mo
Weight: 45lbs
Adoption Fee: $400

Fill out an application at: https://www.columbiagorgehs.org/adopt.html

(All animals adopted out of CGHS are spayed/neutered, up to date on annual vaccines including rabies, and microchipped)
