Raven (bonded to Thor)'s Story
Meet Raven!

Raven is an affectionate, people-loving girl who would happily crawl right into your lap—or maybe inside your skin—if she could! Once she trusts you, she wants to be close, give lots of kisses and soak up all the affection she can get. With new people, Raven can be a little more cautious and does best when she’s allowed to approach on her own terms. Give her that choice, respect her boundaries and she warms up pretty quickly.

Raven has done well around children and is gentle and affectionate with them, although sometimes a little *too* enthusiastic with her kisses and love! We think she’d do great with older kids, while younger children would need to understand how to give her space and let her initiate interactions. She can coexist with other dogs, but she prefers to take things slowly and may be uncomfortable when another dog is too interested in her. Her ideal home would have no other dogs besides Thor, although a calm, dog-savvy dog who respects her communication could potentially be a good fit.

And then there’s Thor. These two are bonded and looking for their retirement home together. Raven definitely wears her heart on her sleeve when it comes to him—she likes knowing where he is and looks to him for reassurance, especially around unfamiliar dogs, people or situations. She has become more independent as she’s settled in, particularly when she’s outside keeping a very important eye on the squirrels, but Thor is still her security blanket.

Raven is still working on her leash manners and can be a strong puller, but she’s making progress with consistency. She has some initial anxiety in the car but settles fairly quickly and then enjoys the ride. She’s also comfortable being handled once trust has been established. Raven is a sweet, sensitive girl who just needs people willing to listen when she communicates, give her a little time to feel safe, and then prepare themselves for ALL the kisses. Add Thor by her side, and these two are ready to find their retirement home together.

They both weight about 40 ish lbs. They're currently being fostered in Davis County, UT. If you're interested in a meet + greet, please fill out our adoption application first. They are up to date on vaccines and microchipped before adoption. Their adoption fee is $200 for both.
