Raven's Story

Meet Raven!

Dont let her tiny size fool you—2-year-old Raven packs a whole lot of personality into her 5-pound Shih Tzu mix frame! This happy, playful little girl keeps everyone smiling with her goofy antics, joyful spins, and oversized stuffed toys that somehow become her favorite playthings.

Raven is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. One minute shes happily digging every toy out of the toy box and proudly tossing around a stuffed animal twice her size, and the next shes curled up in your lap, soaking up all the snuggles she can get. She has a naturally cheerful spirit that shines through everything she does.

Like many little dogs, Raven can be a bit cautious when faced with sudden movements, loud noises, or unfamiliar situations. The good news? Her curiosity almost always wins. She warms up quickly once she realizes shes safe, and before long shes handing out kisses and asking to be picked up. In fact, it took her less than a day to become completely smitten with her foster family, and she charmed a house guest just as quickly!

Raven is making wonderful progress with her house training. Shes already beginning to go to the door when she needs to go outside, and with consistency, frequent potty breaks, and lots of praise, shell continue to build on her success. Like many sensitive little dogs, she may have an occasional excited or nervous tinkle, but shes trying very hard and improves every day.

If youre looking for a dog who settles beautifully in a crate, Raven is your girl. She sleeps soundly in her kennel all night, stays quietly crated during the workday, and doesnt make a peep. She already knows her name, come, and kennel, making her a wonderful student whos eager to keep learning.

Raven is respectful with everyone she meets—both people and animals. She gets along well with dogs, happily inviting them to play but gracefully accepting when theyd rather relax. Shes equally polite with cats, making her a great fit for a home with dog-savvy feline friends. Because shes so incredibly tiny, shed do best with smaller or gentle medium-sized dogs who wont accidentally injure her during play.

Although Raven enjoys playing, shes easy to tire out thanks to her petite size. A few games of fetch, tug, or chasing toys around the house are usually enough before shes ready for another cuddle session.

Ravens ideal family will appreciate both her playful side and her sensitive heart. She would thrive in a calm home with patient people who can continue building her confidence and shower her with the love she so happily returns. Because shes tiny and can be startled by loud noises and fast movements, a home without young children would be the best fit. A fenced yard or easy access to frequent potty breaks will also help her continue succeeding with her house training.

One of Ravens greatest gifts is the joy she brings to everyone around her. Whether shes spinning in circles because shes excited, proudly carrying a toy thats bigger than she is, or snuggling up for kisses after a fun play session, she has a way of making every day a little brighter. Shes also wonderfully quiet, barking only on rare occasions, making her an easy companion to have around the house.

If youre looking for a tiny best friend with a playful spirit, a loving heart, and an endless ability to make you smile, Raven is ready to fill your home with laughter, cuddles, and unconditional love.
