Say hello to Raul!<br/><br/>His name is really fun to say, and he's got the personality to match.<br/><br/>He's a red boy, so of course he's spunky, sassy, and full of opinions.<br/><br/>He's also incredibly affectionate in his own husky way. One of his favorite things to do is hold your hand.<br/><br/>Not with his paw.<br/><br/>With his mouth.<br/><br/>In fact, he likes to love on all of the parts of his people, which is why his onsite nickname is "Butt Biter." He'll nom whatever part of you happens to be convenient. Don't worry though, it's all affection with Raul. He's the kind of husky who likes to be involved in whatever is happening, whether he was invited or not.<br/><br/>He loves attention, food, and adventure. If treats are involved, you suddenly become the most interesting person in the world. Leave a door open, and he'll immediately start wondering where it leads and whether there's an adventure waiting on the other side.<br/><br/>During dog park time, Raul loves showing off his playful side and getting the zoomies.<br/><br/>Raul is protective of his food, so he is fed separately from the other dogs. It's a simple management step that helps set him up for success.<br/><br/>He is estimated to be almost 6 years old and 70 pounds.<br/><br/>Raul entered the California shelter system as a stray in June of 2023 and was rescued by H3 that September.<br/><br/>That was nearly three years ago.<br/><br/>Since then, he's watched dogs come and go.<br/><br/>He's watched friends find families and head home.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Raul keeps waiting.<br/><br/>We think it's about time somebody chose him.<br/><br/>Not ready to adopt?
