He and his siblings were rescued from a rural pack in Arkansas, where they lived outside with their mom and other dogs. Life wasn't always easy, but thanks to K-9 Lifesavers, Rascal is now safe and searching for a family of his own. He's social, loves other dogs, and is eager to soak up training and adventures with his new people. If you're looking for a pup to make every day brighter, Rascal is ready to keep you smiling. <br/><br/>Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. <br/><br/>Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. <br/><br/>Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
