Rare Raven's Story

Meet Raven

Raven is a 1.5-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd (about 28 lbs) with the intelligence, beauty, and confidence this remarkable breed is known for. RAVEN MUST GO TO A HOME WITH BREED EXPERIENCE AND A COMMITMENT TO TRAINING.

She’s a thoughtful, observant girl — smart, a little aloof at first, deeply loving once she bonds, and very aware of her surroundings. Raven enjoys having a “job” and takes her role as household supervisor seriously. She thrives when she has clear, gentle boundaries and a human who appreciates a dog that thinks for herself.

Raven has a wonderful balance of athletic energy and couch-potato downtime. She’s happy to go on walks, adventures, or training sessions, but she’s just as content relaxing at home once her needs are met.

She is house trained, crate trained, walks beautifully on leash, and rides great in the car. Raven is also social — she does well with other dogs and cats, though she can be a bit bossy at times and prefers clear structure in multi-dog households.

Because Raven is a true herding breed, she does best with older children only and an adopter who understands how to channel her herding instincts through training, rather than letting her manage movement on her own. She’s protective, alert, and will flourish with someone committed to ongoing positive, breed-appropriate training.

Raven is also a flight risk in the early adoption phase, so a secure, fenced yard or diligent leash management is important for her safety.

She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for a home that values intelligence, leadership, and partnership with a dog who wants to be involved and understood.

If you’re looking for a loyal, capable companion who will bond deeply and thrive with structure, Raven could be an incredible match.

Apply to adopt Raven here:
https://forms.gle/S2gX7nNx3ZNd6Z3C6
