Rapid's Story
Meet Rapid!

Rapid is a 1-year-old neutered Boxer mix with a heart as big as the miles he covered. He earned his name after giving animal control quite the workout — sprinting several miles through the city before finally being found snoozing by the river downtown. And the moment they gently woke him up? Tail wags, kisses, and zero hard feelings. That’s Rapid in a nutshell: sweet, forgiving, and full of love.

When he arrived, Rapid was emaciated and in rough shape. In his scramble to survive on the run, he had eaten socks and needed surgery to remove them. But this resilient boy bounced back beautifully. Today, he’s healthy, happy, and so ready for his forever family.

Rapid is incredibly social — he adores people, enjoys other dogs, and thrives on companionship. He’s neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and has the kind of joyful spirit that fills a home with warmth.

Because he’s an active, curious guy who once proved he can really move, Rapid does require a securely fenced yard to keep him safe while he plays.

Now that he doesn’t have to run anymore, Rapid is ready to settle in, snuggle up, and finally live the good life he deserves.

If you’re interested in Rapid please fill out the adoption app on our website www.muttsinarutrescue.com
