Rango's Story

Looking for a companion that is devoted, affectionate, and eager to please? Rango might be your boy!
Rango is about a year old, and 49 lbs. While he is excited for adventure, he also needs loving guidance on appropriate behavior. His foster mom believes he was an outdoor only dog before rescue, so he is still learning house manners. He does extremely well going potty outside. He is still learning how to be crated. It’s not something he’s used to, so he needs positive experiences in the crate.
He does SO well on leash. He doesn’t pull, he wants to be right by your side or on your heels.
He has a cautious temperament, which will require continuous confidence-boosting. He always tries his best to do what’s asked of him.
Rango does well with his 2 year old Heeler mix foster brother. He also does very well with the young, dog-savvy children (ages 3 and 6) in his foster home. He has loved every person he’s met while in foster care.
This is a highly trainable dog, that would absolutely thrive in an active home with knowledge of shepherd and/or working breeds.

An application MUST be submitted on our website

https://arfsgc.com/dog-adoption-application/
