Rainbow Brite: Not at the shelter (Barbe)'s Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rainbow Brite is an 8-month - old pup that has not let life drag her down! Adversity nay be her middle name, and she just shakes it off and keeps on going.

Found as a skinny stray just one month ago, she broke with parvovirus just a few days after being brought to the shelter. She needed recovery time in a foster home, and whew—recovered nicely! Two weeks later, we noticed she was limping, so asked the vet for her opinion. X-rays were recommended, and revealed that she had a previous break at the top of her right leg (femur) and required surgery to repair it. Two weeks ago, she had FHO surgery and is recovering beautifully.

She has told her foster sister, a German Shepherd mix, that she loves playing tug, and told her foster mom to please always have a good supply of Bene- bones available—her favorite! She is still working on house training skills, but has come so far! She is currently about 36 pounds, and we are glad she is filling out!

PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA.
