Rain- A Resilient Beauty Looking for Her Hero 's Story

Meet Rain: A Resilient Beauty Looking for Her Hero

Rain’s story began in a place no living creature should ever experience. Rescued from a severe hoarding situation in Scioto County, Rain was one of many animals living in absolute neglect. When she first arrived, she was so broken that the sight of a leash or collar would cause her to cower.
But over the last year, Rain has proven that her spirit isn't broken—it’s just waiting for the right person to help it shine.

Her Striking Look
Rain is a 60 lb Husky/Shepherd mix with a face you'll never forget. She has stunning, "mismatched" eyes—one deep brown and one icy blue. They reflect a soul that has seen a lot, but is now looking forward to a bright future.

About Rain
Age: Approx. 1 year old
Personality: Gentle, submissive, and deeply loving once she trusts you.
Canine Friends: Rain needs a home with a confident dog. She does much better with a companion than being alone and looks to other dogs for confidence.
Cat Friendly? While not tested in her current home, she lived with many cats in her previous situation and has a very submissive temperament.
Her Progress: She has come a long way! While she is still afraid of new things, once she knows she is safe, she just wants to be near you and be loved.

Why Rain?
The neglect Rain experienced is unfathomable to most. She spent a year in a rescue near the site of her confiscation without being chosen. We pulled her because we believe her family is out there—they just haven't met her yet. She needs a patient, quiet home that will go slow and let her blossom at her own pace.

Adoption Details
Adoption Fee: $300 (Covers her future spay, vaccines, heartworm testing, and all preventions).

Apply here: https://form.jotform.com/213077366757061
