Raider's Story

Meet Raider 🐶

Raider is a lovable little pup with a goofy streak that's sure to make you smile. He brings a cool, composed energy to the ice--more "steady defenseman" than flashy breakaway star. Compared to his brother Metro, Raider is the more laid-back of the two, happy to hang back in the defensive zone and read the play before jumping into action. He's got that calm, calculated style that makes him the kind of pup you can always count on when the pressure's on.

While he may be a bit more shy than Metro, it just means he prefers to ease into new matchups at his own pace--no need to rush the puck when you've got good positioning. Give him a little patience, and you'll quickly see his playful, silly personality start to shine through, like a quiet player suddenly lighting up the scoreboard. Once he feels comfortable, Raider is all about fun and companionship, showing off gentle "hat trick" moments of affection and goofy puppy energy.

Whether he's bouncing around in a burst of surprise overtime excitement or sticking close by your side like your most reliable line-mate, Raider is a sweet boy who's ready to build a strong bond with his future family. If you're looking for a gentle, goofy pup with a calm presence and a heart ready for playoff-level love, Raider might just be your perfect match.

D'Arcy's Animal Rescue Centre's Adoption Policy
Connecting the right pets with the right families If you come to D'Arcy's A.R.C. to adopt a pet, you will be asked many questions to ensure that the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home and that you are prepared for the responsibilities and commitment of pet ownership. This discussion can go several ways. We may agree that the pet you are considering is an excellent match for your lifestyle, and lucky to have met you. We may suggest that you select a pet more suited to the home environment you will provide, or we may determine that you cannot take on the responsibilities and commitment of pet ownership at this time. Suppose you want to adopt a special needs pet with a physical condition or behavioural issues requiring extra care. In that case, we will ask that you fill out an application form. Our shelter manager will review this application form to ensure that you are aware of the cat's needs and the potential costs involved and can provide a suitable home. Potential adopters must provide a valid photo I.D. If you are leasing or renting a property for which the pet will call home, a copy of your leasing agreement that outlines that your home is pet-friendly is required. A letter or email signed by the landlord is also acceptable. All of our pets are spayed & neutered. Any kittens or puppies too young for the procedure at the time of adoption will have their spay/neuter paid for at our expense at our chosen veterinary clinic when they reach six months of age. Our cats all receive FVRCP vaccines, while all dogs receive DA2PP and Rabies. The adopter is responsible and must pay for any other medical treatments required after the adoption process. All adopted pets come with a care package, trial pet insurance, and a valid City of Winnipeg pet license for one year.
