MEET RAIDER! STATS: 4 years old, neutered, Beagle Mix, 39 lbs AFFECTION/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a super chill guy with low energy – I just want to hang out beside you! You can usually find me sitting and waiting for someone to come pet me while all the other dogs play. I am not a super active guy, so I don’t have too much interest in playing too hard. I will run around for a little bit, but typically I would rather just sit with my people and watch everyone else play. I am very affectionate and love attention! WHAT I LOVE: I really just love spending time with people! Since I am not overly energetic, I will go out of my way to find someone who is sitting and go sit next to them. I would be a great lap dog, couch partner, and movie watching buddy! The second you make eye contact with me and start to walk towards me, my tail starts wagging so hard that I can barely sit! KIDS: While I haven’ t been formally tested with kids at the shelter, the staff thinks I would be good with older kids who are gentle, kind, and respectful towards me. OTHER DOGS: I am dog friendly, but I prefer other laid back and calm dogs that don’t jump on me or get in my face. I go to playgroup here at the shelter every day with the other chill pups! CATS: Unknown HIS MATCH: I would love a quiet home where I am with other cool, calm, and collected dogs, or as an only dog! I need a good place to nap, so someone who is low energy like me would be ideal! I just want someone to pet me and sit with me. SPECIAL NOTE: I have the cutest little wiggle butt! Complete an online application and get pre-approved to adopt at https://cognitoforms.com/YorkCountyAnimalControl/PetAdoptionSurvey. Once you complete the app, a staff member will call you in 1-2 business days once approved to set up a time for you to meet the pet you are interested in. Every adoptable pet is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1-year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention for dogs. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. Adoptions are matched based on best placement and require no negative animal history.
