Ragnar's Story
Meet Ragnar a Smooth Collie Retriever Mix!

Ragnar adores everyone he meets, but he can be shy at first and slow to warm up. He’s crate trained, eager to please, and already knows several basic commands (sit, come, crate, down, stay, stand, wait). He’s well on his way to becoming a wonderfully well mannered companion.

Ragnar sleeps through the night in his crate and has naps in his crate during the day. He is 99% house trained and goes to the door to go outside when he needs to! He’s also learning great manners from his 5 year old canine foster sister.
Like any young pup, Ragnar is in the nipping and mouthing phase, but he’s making great progress as his foster family teaches him to redirect that puppy energy to toys and chews. To help Ragnar grow into his best, most confident self, his adopters should be ready and willing to enroll him in an obedience class.

Older children or dog savvy children would be the best fit for Ragnar as he is still learning manners and has sharp teeth. He may need an experienced owner or an owner that is prepared for the lifestyle of a collie. Collies require commitment of time and effort for proper physical and mental stimulation to prevent behavioural problems related to their high energy, need for mental stimulation, shyness, and strong herding instincts.

Ragnar would thrive in a home ready for puppy fun, continued training, and walks. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with tons of charm, this adorable little mix might just steal your heart.

Ready to welcome Ragnar into your family?

Ragnar's adoption fee is $1000 which includes microchip, vaccines, heartworm test, heartworm/flea/tick prevention, deworming, and complete vet check. There will be a $400 rebate for proof of spay/neuter if not completed by the time of adoption.
