Ragatha's Story

Ragatha aka Agatha

4 years, spayed female, 18 lbs

Chihuahua mix

LIKES: Being the center of attention, receiving pets and cuddles (is very interested in sleeping under the covers with you), napping in your lap, taking long walks with plenty of stops for sniffing, chasing after toys, running on the beach, chewing on rawhides or similar, sharing face kisses.

DISLIKES: Feeling left out, being abandoned, car rides, and getting wet.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: The best of Ragathas wonderful personality will shine through when she is in the presence of her caregiver, at home, and not surrounded by unfamiliar people or pets. At her foster home she is consistently silly, spunky, sweet, affectionate, and loyal. She is also very perceptive and eager to please, potentially lending well to positive-reinforcement training—she has learned sit—but she will sometimes become too excited to register commands. Ragatha can acclimate to new people but needs slow introductions when people enter her home, and could use continued training and socialization outside of the home in situations with people.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Ragatha is perfectly potty trained when you are around. If she is left alone, she becomes anxious and will have accidents.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Ragatha may sometimes voluntarily enter her crate when seeking a safe space, and she can also easily be picked up and placed inside her crate, but she doesn't like to be left in a crate.

OTHER: Ragathas size to high-jumping ratio parallels that of a cats, so while she is generally well-behaved towards your property, beware of the possibility for her to get onto tables or other high surfaces! Her compatibility cohabitating with children, other pets, or multiple equal value caretakers is unknown. Ragatha may benefit from being in a home with another dog that can show her the ropes. Or be with someone who is home most of the time and work on short times of separation.

To further inquire about RAGATHA, submit an application.

https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/

Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how RAGATHA will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.

Our process is NOT a first come, first served process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.

We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for RAGATHA, as well as her future family.

*Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, OR

ADOPTION APP: https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/
