Racket (26-184)'s Story

Meet Racket

Some of us around here have accidentally started calling him "Rocket" instead of Racket... and honestly, it fits him perfectly. This handsome boy is always ready for action and approaches life at full speed, especially if a tennis ball is involved.

Racket is a 5-year-old German Shepherd weighing just under 80 pounds who came to us after being surrendered to a shelter in Maryland due to financial hardship. Through no fault of his own, he's now looking for a fresh start with a family ready to match his enthusiasm for life.

This boy is active, playful, and loves to stay busy. Toss a ball and you'll instantly see his personality light up. He would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, playtime, and continued structure to help him channel his energy in positive ways.

Racket has previously lived with other large breed dogs and reportedly did well with them. He has also lived with a cat, though that arrangement was not quite as successful, so we believe he would do best in a home without cats.

The good news? He already comes with plenty of the important basics checked off. Racket is housebroken, crate trained, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is also scheduled to be neutered on 5/14, after which he will be fully ready to meet his forever family.

Racket is the kind of dog who brings movement, personality, and excitement wherever he goes. For the right home, he's going to make an incredibly fun, loyal, and adventure-ready companion.
