Quincy's Story
Quincy
Male
Old English Sheepdog mix (low-shedding)
Estimated Age: 1–3 years
Weight: Approximately 55 lbs

Meet Quincy — a sweet, smart, and curious cuddle bug!

Quincy is an energetic young dog who will thrive in an active, loving household. He plays wonderfully with his foster brother, and we believe he would do best in a home with another playful dog companion to match his energy and social personality. Quincy would also benefit greatly from a home with a secure yard where he can run, play, and burn off energy.

He is fully potty trained and continues to impress us every day with his progress and personality.

Not much is known about Quincy’s past. He was found as a severely matted street dog in Austin and was initially believed to be older because he moved slowly. In reality, he was simply malnourished and uncomfortable due to painful matting. Now that Quincy is healthy, groomed, and cared for, his playful and affectionate personality truly shines.

He does great at dog parks and wants to be friends with everyone he meets — both people and dogs!

Quincy is calm and well-behaved in his crate (his “condo”). Even when clients visit his foster home, he stays quiet and relaxed. He currently sleeps in his crate at night, although he would absolutely love cuddling with his human if given the chance.

One of Quincy’s favorite activities is relaxing and watching TV while snuggled up beside you — he will happily cuddle the entire time. He has a huge heart and loves being close to his people.

We believe Quincy may be an Old English Sheepdog mix, possibly with Husky (due to his eyes) and Poodle (because he does not shed). His coat will grow long and will require regular brushing and professional grooming. Grooming time can also be a wonderful bonding experience — something many doodle owners can relate to!

Quincy is currently working on leash training and improving every day. Structured walks, engagement, and treats help him stay focused, and he continues to make great progress with distractions when passing other dogs.

Quincy is very intelligent and thrives when his mind is engaged. He would do well learning new skills, tasks, or enrichment activities.

Ideal Home:
Quincy would do best in an energetic, big-hearted home with another playful pup in the household and a secure yard. A family willing to continue his training, provide daily activity, and give plenty of love will see Quincy truly flourish. He is eager to please and has an enormous amount of affection to give his forever family.

If you are interested, please send an inquiry and fill out an adoption application, which can be easily found at www.jackjackspack.org/adopt
