Meet Quince
Quince is a delight. Being three years old and about ten pounds, she is the perfect cuddle buddy. She is affectionate, friendly and curious. She enjoys playing with her stuffed toys and her human friends but takes a while to form a bond with other dogs. She would be fine as an only dog or with a companion. We recently took her on a two mile walk in the woods and she kept up just fine, enjoying all the new things to sniff. Because she is so small she cannot go to a home with young children who would naturally want to pick her up. She knows her name and comes when she is called, though she is never far from her humans. And her tail is always wagging!!
Quince is currently using piddle pads and needs a little work to be consistent in going potty outside. She is not fully leash trained. Quince is quite shy but her curiosity and love of people helps her overcome her nervousness. We have so enjoyed having Quince as our foster dog. She is a treasure. When Quince was found she had a fractured jaw.
Our orthopedic surgeon felt that it did not require surgery and would heal itself, which it did and she has no issues with it.
OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with no children for Quince, and experienced dog owners only.
WE REQUIRE TWO YEARS OF VETS RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. RECORDS MUST SHOW THE POTENTIAL ADOPTER AS THE OWNER
The total adoption fee of $675 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper and canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3.
