Queen's Story
Meet Queen! Queen is a senior sweetheart who has overcome a rough past, as shown by the scars on her body. Since coming into the loving care of NCBR, her life has completely changed for the better. She’s now being treated for arthritis and hip dysplasia, and she’s discovering just how wonderful soft couches and cozy naps can be.

Queen is a gentle, affectionate lady who adores snuggling, playing with her stuffies and relaxing by your side. She prefers her people not be gone for long hours each day — she can be crated when needed, but may let out some mild protests about it.

She’s not looking for long neighborhood walks, but she does enjoy romping around the yard and soaking up fresh air at her own pace.

This beautiful girl is simply searching for a soft place to land and a comfy pillow to enjoy her golden years. If your idea of a perfect day is “Netflix and chill” with a sweet companion by your side, Queen is ready to be your loyal best friend.

Queen enjoys her furry housemates and gets along well with them, she could potentially be homed with another calm, low energy dog. While Queen hasn’t been around many children, due to her arthritis and mobility limitations it’s best that she go to a home with older children.

Queen is also looking for a new foster home as she is currently being temp fostered, so if you’re not quite ready to adopt, Queen might be just the gal for you!

***For more information about this dog and information on how to apply to adopt, please visit www.ncbr.org***

Adoption Process At a Glance:

- Step 1 – Fill out the Adoption Application
- Step 2 – Preliminary Screening by Application Team which includes a Landlord check (if applicable) and vet Check
- Step 3 – Meeting with appropriate boxer(s)
- Step 4 – Home Visit
- Step 5 – Adoption Day

Adoption Requirements At a Glance.

* You must be 21 years of age
* You must have a fenced in yard (exceptions can be made for certain dogs)
* All current pets in the household MUST be spayed/neutered and current on shots (yes, we do call and verify this information)
* Applicants with young children will be required to answer additional questions
* Applicants that rent must provide Landlord contact info.
