In the beginning, life felt warm and hopeful. But as she grew older, the time and attention she needed slipped further and further away.<br/><br/>Her owners became busy… then overwhelmed… and eventually indifferent. Queen spent more and more time inside a crate — hours turning into full days. She waited quietly at first, then anxiously, then silently. With no toys, no walks, and no one to talk to, the crate became her entire world. She tried her best to hold it, but the hours were too long. She would soil herself, trembling in the mess because she knew she wasn’t supposed to, but she had no choice. She waited for meals that didn’t always come. Some days, her stomach ached so much she curled into a ball just to feel a little less empty.<br/><br/>Her spirit began to shrink.
