Putter's Story

Hello! My name's Putter from the golf litter! I was adopted as a puppy and returned to the shelter at 6 years old in May 2023 when my humans had a baby. I'm looking for a nice cozy home to retire in! I am an American Bulldog/Retriever mix weighing around 62lbs. I am a sweet, smart dog who is considered medium/low energy. My favorite things include cuddling, car rides, walks, and playtime! Everyone tells me that I'm the goofiest dog in the rescue and everyone adores my play growl, play hops, and play bows! I'm also told that I walk fantastic on a leash and have wonderful manners where I don't pull. I know to do my business outside and will even sit by the door to alert my owners that I need to go. I don't mind the crate and I can be trusted outside of the crate as well. I don't chew up stuff I'm not supposed to either! I also know basic commands such as sit, paw, other paw, lay down, and roll over!

I’ve been working on my socializing skills & can do good around kids in public, but I’d prefer my forever home with older or no kids since their rambunctious energy can still make me nervous. I also wasn't properly socialized with other dogs growing up so I need to go to a home where I'm the only pet. No cats for me.

You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/JrsPupsNStuffInc Ask to meet me today!!

Adoption fee: $300

All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days.

Our adoption process requires the submission of an online application at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Additional details about who we are, what we do and how to adopt can be found on our website.

JR’s Pups-N-Stuff Dog Sellers License 522614

JRs Pups-n-Stuff's Adoption Policy
Our process includes the completion of our application. Upon completion of the application we will: Contact your vet for information on current and previous animals. It is critical that you have authorized your vet to release information to us. If you are a renter, we will contact your landlord for verification of animal acceptance, or you can provide a copy of your lease. Complete a background check using publicly available information. If applying to adopt a dog, we will complete a home visit which requires all household members to be present. After the approval is complete you will be free to meet our animals. When meeting dogs, all members of the household as well as any dogs will be required to meet prior to finalizing any adoption. PLEASE NOTE: We will NOT adopt puppies under 6 months of age to families with children under 8 years of age. JRs does adoptions with out of area families. We do the home visit via Skype or Facetime. After an approval we do require that all family members, including any existing dogs, travel to the foster home to meet the potential adoptee. We do not ship animals. Our process is thorough and allows us to make every effort to identify the right match for your family. Please be forthcoming of all information during the process as that is what allows us to find the match. Adding a new family member is FOREVER and will adjust your free time, finances and overall life style. Animal adoption is a serious decision. JR's Pups-N-Stuff, Inc. is a volunteer based organization. Most volunteers have full time jobs and families. Our dedication to helping each and every animal find the right match can take time. Please understand and be patient during the process. Thank you.

Our Mission
Our first dogs arrived through the efforts of two volunteers who drove through the night to the Kentucky/Tennessee border. Holli and her nine 1 week old puppies, and Chiqua who was expecting her puppies any day, were carefully transported back and placed in foster homes, where they would be until their puppies reached eight...
