Meet Purdy! This amazing girl is 3 years old. Purdy has been at the shelter for almost 100 days now. The shelter staff has been working like crazy to help her get healthy. Now she weighs in at 57 lbs and is ready to go up for adoption. Purdy is great with all dogs, kids, cats, and people. All she wants in the whole wide is love. However, Purdy’s love does come at a cost. We believe that Purdy has an auto-immune disease that affects her muscles. She is currently taking a medication that she gets every other morning. Without this medication, Purdy loses weight, muscle tone, and as difficultly eating her food causing a loss in weight quickly. Purdy will have to be this medication for the rest of her life. Purdy might also benefit from additional vet visits to see if another medication or any additional medication is needed to make sure she stays as healthy as possible.
