Sweet Purcy is an approximately 11-year-old mutt, weighing a healthy 35 lbs. He is best friends with everyone he meets, animal or human. He loves to run around with a toy or chasing other pups around a yard. But even more than playing he loves snuggling up right next to people and having a good snooze. Purcy is pretty active for an older gentleman, but much more mellow than younger dogs his size. He loves going for a leisurely walk where he can sniff everything and pee on every single street sign. He can handle long walks, and even enjoys an occasional jog! He really is a wonderful pup and would make a great companion for anyone.<br/><br/>Purcy is very friendly with other dogs, and has very good play manners. He is okay with cats, but he does enjoy occasionally chasing kittens, so be aware of that if you have a feline friend. He’s house trained and crate trained, but prefers to be loose. He is not destructive at all, and when left alone he will pretty much just sleep all day. He loves to chase a ball but isn’t so keen on bringing it back. He wants you to get your steps in too!<br/><br/>Purcy is looking for a home where he can play and relax with his family. The best part of adopting a senior dog is that the hard work is done already- Purcy doesn’t counter surf or beg, rarely jumps on people, is totally housetrained, and has no separation anxiety. He knows the commands sit, down, stay, place, and has good recall.
