Colt-adopted! Border Collie & Labrador Retriever Mix Minneapolis, MN

This little cutie is Colt. He is a Border Collie mix, maybe with lab. We are not exactly sure what his DNA says, but we know he is a super cute, friendly puppy ready to find his forever home. At around 16 lbs now, we think Colt will be in the range of 50-60 lbs when full grown.

Born in early November 2020, Colt is happy, loves food, playtime and people!! He is smart, loving and easy going. He will need great socialization to help him grow into a well-mannered adult dog. Colt is a lower key guy who still wants to go for walks with his people and see the world, but he wouldn't be a great fit for a family interested in a running partner. Colt wants opportunities to learn through obedience classes and mental engagement (trick training, games, puzzles).

Colt can be an only dog in his forever home. He would not mind a friendly canine sibling to model great behavior and play with. Because of his sharp puppy teeth, homes with older kids will be considered. For his safety, we will also prefer homes with physically fenced yards: he is too young for invisible fencing.

Families that work outside the home need to include information in their application about how they will accommodate potty training because Colt may not be left home alone for more than a few hours a day.

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry email through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

The adoption fee for puppies is $400 + MN sales tax. This fee includes spay or neuter at the age of 5 months at one of our veterinary clinics. Puppies are up to date on vaccinations at the time of adoption.
