Twix and his sister, Pup Caramel, found themselves in a crowded shelter in Alabama after being picked up as strays. Sadly, no one came looking for them, and a shelter is no place for a sweet puppy! Thankfully, their luck has changed. K-9 Lifesavers stepped in, and these cuties are now safe and ready to find their respective forever homes.

Twix is a true Heinz 57 mix — but one thing we know for sure is that he is 100% adorable! This sweet boy is friendly, lovable, and great with other dogs, was great with people of all ages, and he is neutral about cats. He is well behaved in the home. He hasn't barked even though his foster siblings are yappers, and he LOVES his bed and crate. His small/medium size and personality make him a good candidate for a condo or apartment with love and ample walks and socialization. At his young age, Twix is in his prime for socialization, training, and he has shown that he is ready to learn all the things that will help him grow into an amazing companion. With a little guidance, lots of love, and plenty of puppy adventures, he will make a fabulous addition to a loving home.

Could Twix be the missing piece of your family? Apply today and change this deserving pup's life forever!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
