Life hasn't always been easy for this sweet pup. Rescued by K-9 Lifesavers from a hoarding situation in Alabama, he is now safe and ready for the fresh start he has always deserved. This adorable little Heinz 57 mix is discovering that the world can be a kind and wonderful place. Gentle and incredibly sweet, he is looking for a patient adopter who will give him the time and encouragement he needs to build confidence at his own pace. One thing he already knows? Other dogs are wonderful! He absolutely enjoys the company of canine friends and would thrive in a home with a confident, welcoming dog (or dogs) who can help show him the ropes—or with regular opportunities to spend time with friendly dog buddies. If you're ready to open your heart to a deserving dog and watch an incredible transformation unfold, apply today. The love, trust, and joy you'll gain in return will be worth every moment. Jeremy suffers from separation anxiety and would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. Another confident dog in the house would be a plus. He is not suitable for apartment or townhouse life.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
