PUNCH's Story

Punch is a young German Shepherd Dog/Australian Cattle Dog mix with enough energy, enthusiasm, and airborne excitement to keep life very interesting. He’s easy to leash and happily walks right out of his kennel, although he does believe the walk to the play yard should include several surprise jumping hugs along the way. Once in the yard, Punch transforms into a full-time party coordinator. He’s playful with stuffed toys, enthusiastically chases balls and anything else you throw, but hasn’t quite figured out the “bring it back” part of fetch yet. In Punch’s mind, the important thing is the chase. Details are optional. This goofy guy seems dog friendly through the fence with multiple dogs, showing lots of tail wags and play bows like he’s constantly trying to organize recess. He also enjoys sniffing around and foraging for treats, which is a great way to engage his busy little cattle dog brain. Punch doesn’t know “sit” yet, but he takes treats gently and seems eager to interact with people. He also has moments where he walks extremely close to you like a furry Velcro attachment, followed immediately by moments of “I MUST GO INVESTIGATE THAT LEAF.” Punch is still a young guy with lots of energy and will definitely benefit from training to help him learn manners, channel his enthusiasm, and become the best adventure buddy he can be. If you’re looking for an energetic, playful young dog who’s equal parts chaos, comedy, and cuddly sidekick, Punch is ready to bounce directly into your life.
