Pumpkyn

Meet Pumpkyn

Pumpkyn is a beautiful Belgian Malinois with plenty of drive, athleticism, and potential. It’s clear that someone put time and effort into her at some point in her life. She knows sit and down, and one of her especially nice habits is that she will often naturally reset herself to your left — a behavior that suggests she has had some meaningful training and handling in her past.

Pumpkyn is high drive and high energy, as you would expect from her breed. She is athletic, intelligent, forward, and always ready to go. She will thrive with an experienced handler who understands the breed and is comfortable providing structure, boundaries, training, and appropriate outlets for her energy.

Pumpkyn has done well with our other dogs when given proper introductions. However, because she can be very forward, she will need slow, controlled introductions to new dogs rather than being immediately thrown into a group. Her future family should be prepared to continue managing her interactions thoughtfully and giving her time to acclimate.

She is also an athlete in every sense of the word! Pumpkyn has no trouble clearing a six-foot fence, so a secure outdoor area is essential. Any fencing should be appropriately secure, including consideration for fencing or other deterrents along the top. She should never be left outside unsupervised in an unsecured yard.

Pumpkyn isn't looking for just any home — she's looking for someone who understands what it means to live with a Belgian Malinois and who will appreciate both the challenges and the incredible qualities that come with this breed.

For the right experienced handler, Pumpkyn has the potential to be an incredibly rewarding companion. She's smart, driven, athletic, and clearly has a foundation to build upon. She just needs someone willing to continue the work and give her the structure and direction she deserves.
