Pumpkin's Story

Pumpkin is an always happy, tail wagging girl who loves her humans and thinks nothing about coming right up for a pet or kiss. She loves being petted and hearing her name, must lie near her human and keeps her little tail wiggling away as she seeks to engage with the next available human. Ms. P responds to commands, knows several words and is happy and willing to learn. This full of personality girl's primary aim in life is to please her human which makes her an awesome dog.

Pumpkin lived as an only dog with her previous owner for her entire life but was left alone for 18 months after her owner passed away. After the estate settled, the family happily loaded her up and headed for the local shelter; however, a neighbor and friend intervened and took Ms. Pumpkin into foster.

This ten year old senior gets along fine with smaller dogs but is intimidated by and doesn't trust larger dogs. Ms. Pumpkin is great on leash, loves to ride in the car (it's a great opportunity for another nap), knows basic commands, is perfectly happy to sunbathe or sleep in her kennel and has a medium energy level.

Ms. Pumpkin deserves a fenced in yard and she would love to be an only pet so she could have all the attention. She comes with our standard medical package which includes her spay, microchip, rabies, parvo-distemper and Bordetella. She is dewormed and on flea & tick and heartworm prevention. If you believe your family AND environment are a match for Ms. P,. please submit an application or call our rescue at 336-972-4511.
