Pumpkin Bulldog Mix Woburn, MA

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Pumpkin - an 11 month old, Bulldog mix, who weighs 30 pounds (as of 2/16/25). Pumpkin was found as a stray in the middle of the road. Her rescuers searched for her owners, but one one came forward to claim her.

Her foster shares: "Pumpkin is a sweet girl who is learning what it means to be loved and live indoors. She is learning how to coexist with our cats and how to use our dog door. She has done fine in a crate and loves to join us on car rides. She will need some leash work but should learn quickly with a routine. She does very well with other dogs and loves to play with the other pups and her toys. She is a fun loving gal one who is ready to find a new family!"

UPDATE: Took her to an adoption event and did great!! She is good on a leash and did well with other dogs. She liked every person and kid that came by. She chilled in a crate on the way there and has no problem going in one in a house (as picture shows). She loved getting out and meeting people. She will jump up so kids will need to beware at first but sat down when told to. She is doing great with cats.
She's a wonderful girl who would adjust pretty easily, is really adaptable to new adventures.

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
