Pumpkin's Story
If you're looking for a senior snuggle bug, Pumpkin is your girl! This sweet girl arrived at one of Gigi's rural partner shelters after her owner passed away and was in need of some TLC. Her coat was matted so she is sporting a very short summer haircut until her fur grows back. She also underwent a double enucleation surgery to remove her eyes, as she arrived to us with painful cataracts and was already blind. Pumpkin hasn't let any of this slow her down, though, and is happy to meander around her foster's fenced in yard and go for brief leash walks. She has been unbothered by other dogs being nearby but may do best with calmer dogs due to her size and being blind. Pumpkin loves food, neck scratches and looks amazing in a sweater- she is ready to find her new family!

Pumpkin is an approximately 10 year old small mixed breed and currently weighs 7 pounds.

Pumpkin has received their full-service vet care, vaccines, is spayed/neutered, pre-adoption behavior support, microchip and more. To meet this dog or any of our other ready-for-adoption dogs, visit Gigi's during our open adoption hours listed on www.gigis.org. By adopting a Gigi's Grad, you are helping other shelter dogs in need get vital care and an opportunity to find a new family, just like yours - together we're improving the lives of shelter dogs.
