Pumba's Story

Meet Pumba!
Pumba is a 1-year-old brindle American Pit Bull Terrier who is quickly proving what a special boy he is! This handsome guy is an affectionate, people-loving Velcro pup who wants nothing more than to be close to his humans and soak up all the pats he can get.
Pumba is incredibly smart and eager to learn. He takes treats gently, has already learned to sit, walks beautifully on leash with little to no pulling, and listens when redirected. His foster truly believes he has had some training in his past because he catches on so quickly! He doesn't know his name just yet, but bend down, talk sweetly to him, and he'll happily come right over.
Pumba has also shown what a good boy he can be around other dogs. When a friendly dog unexpectedly jumped a fence to come say hello during a walk, Pumba handled it like a champ. He has shown zero aggression and does well with kids. He may still jump a little when excited, but he's already working on learning better manners.
He's a polite and easygoing guy in the home, too. Pumba isn't interested in getting on the bed or couch, and although he needs a little encouragement to go into his crate, once he's there he settles quietly and patiently-even when left alone. He's not a food-gobbler either; he prefers to nibble at his meals and take little breaks.
But perhaps the best thing about Pumba is his heart. His foster says he is honestly the most perfect pup they've ever met. He's gentle, affectionate, smart, wonderfully people-focused, and learning more every day. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily follow you around and make sure you never go without a little extra love, Pumba is your guy!
