Pumba's Story

Hey there, I'm Pumba, the adventurous explorer who's always ready for a new mission! At 4 years young, I might have wandered into the shelter as a stray, but now I'm on the lookout for a forever home. <br/>With my curious nature, I love to sniff out all the interesting nooks and crannies in my environment. I'm your go-to guy for fun and affection. I would be considered moderate energy, and I really enjoy going for walks and checking out everything. I like larger dogs but would prefer a home without small dogs or cats. I’m a very nice boy who’s eager to find a family so, if you’re ready to adopt a pup who’ll keep you laughing and exploring, come meet Pumba—your next great adventure awaits!

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
