Pumba's Story
(The fine print): If after reading Pumba's adoption listing in full, you’d like to make this wonderful pup a part of your family, please visit www.sanctuaryrescue.com and fill out an adoption questionnaire under the “forms” tab. Unfortunately, we don't receive any inquiries sent through the Petfinder system, so the only way to be considered for adoption is to fill out the adoption questionnaire on our website. If a dog’s listing is still up on Petfinder, then we’re still accepting adoption questionnaires/applications for them. Once a dog has been adopted, we will immediately remove their adoption listing. Keep reading to learn more about Pumba…

(The good part): Sweet Pumba is ready to be the star of your show! This shorty potato has it all: excellent car rider, potty trained (even rings the bells to go outside!), and champion snorer. Pumba is 1 and 1/2 years old and weighs 40-45 pounds.

Foster mom says, "He loves to sit in the backyard or on the steps to the porch and watch the kids next door play. He doesn't bark or try and go over - he just sits and watches. The same occurs when he sees the neighbors out back cutting the grass or the golfers on the golf course - he just sits quietly and watches. The neighbors have asked on more than one occasion if Pumba barks. The answer is yes, but very rarely. He knows the sound of the ring doorbell chime and will go to the front door - but again doesn't bark.

Pumba is a sweet boy with a great personality. He can be a couch potato and snore or get the zoomies and run around the house. He loves his toys, especially those that he can chew. He knows when we're leaving the house and goes to "his room" and patiently awaits his treat."

Born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, Pumba doesn’t let that slow him down-—he eats his kibble and drinks water with no trouble at all! We don’t expect he’ll need any further medical treatment.

Pumba's adoption fee is $350, which includes up to date vaccinations, neuter, and microchip.
