Meet Pugum: The Pint‐Sized Prince of Playtime<br/><br/>Pugum is a 11⁄2‐year‐old, 21‐pound pug who recently returned to us through no fault of his own. He has taken this plot twist in stride and is now ready to find a forever family who appreciates his unique blend of silliness, sweetness, and occasional dramatic flair.<br/><br/>According to his previous family, Pugum is very playful and believes toys are life. Squeaky toys? Excellent. Tug toys? Even better. A random sock he found on the floor? Treasure. He rides nicely in the car once he's had a moment to gather himself and accept that the vehicle is not, in fact, a monster.<br/><br/>Baths, however... absolutely not. Pugum is convinced that water is for drinking, not for being personally betrayed by. He will tolerate a bath, but he will make sure you know he is filing a formal complaint.<br/><br/>He's well‐behaved when left alone, crate trained, and has mastered the art of being both a busy boy and a champion napper. One minute he's zooming around like he's late for a very important meeting, and the next he's snoring adorably with a toy still in his mouth.<br/><br/>Pugum can't wait to meet his forever family -- preferably one that loves playtime, appreciates pug antics, and won't try to give him a bath unless absolutely necessary. Or you can just come and see us and fill out a consultation form upon arrival!<br/><br/>No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form - this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)!<br/><br/>Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. <br/><br/>Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).
