Pugsley's Story

💔 PLEASE... CHOOSE HIM 💔

This sweet baby should be worrying about toys, treats, belly rubs, and whose lap he can crawl into. He should be learning what it means to be a puppy--running too fast, getting into mischief, and falling asleep in someone's arms.

Instead, this little boy has already been through more than any puppy should.

Before he ever came through our shelter doors, his front left leg was badly injured. And now, while he should be discovering the world on four little paws, he is learning how to navigate it on three.

But do you know what absolutely breaks our hearts?

He still trusts us.

He still looks into our eyes with that sweet little face. He still wants affection. He still wants to be close. He hasn't decided that people are bad just because life hasn't always been kind to him.

And we refuse to let losing his leg mean losing his chance at everything he deserves.

He may have three legs now, but he still has one enormous heart. ❤️

He deserves a warm bed. A ridiculous amount of toys. Someone who kisses that little pink nose every morning. A family who celebrates every milestone as he learns just how capable he really is.

Most of all, he deserves to know what it feels like to be chosen.

Please don't look at him and see what's missing.

Look at those eyes.

Look at that beautiful little face.

Look at everything that is still there.

A whole puppy.
A whole heart.
A whole lifetime of love waiting to be given. ❤️‍🩹

He has already lost his leg.

Please don't let him grow up waiting for a family, too.

Somewhere out there is someone who won't call him the three-legged shelter puppy. They'll call him their baby. Their best friend. Their family.

🐾 He doesn't need four legs to run straight into your heart. 🐾

Please share this sweet boy. Help us make sure the hardest chapter of his little life is already behind him.

From this point forward, his story deserves to be nothing but soft beds, full bellies, gentle hands, and a lifetime of being loved. ❤️Thank you for taking the time to look at our precious "pound puppies" If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at 730-272-1071.
