Puddle's Story

Meet Puddle! He's 14 years old and, at this point in life, he knows exactly who he is.

Puddle was surrendered to a shelter at a time when he needed the most care. He's blind, deaf, and had some pretty uncomfortable skin issues when he came in. It was a lot for any dog, especially a senior. Thankfully he made his way to us, and with some treatment and consistency, he's already feeling much better. His skin is improving, his eyes and ears are more comfortable, and most importantly, he's settled.

Even without sight or hearing, Puddle stays very connected to his people. He likes to feel a gentle hand on his back so he knows you're there, and once he does, he relaxes. He enjoys snacks, appreciates a cozy place to rest, and is more than happy to spend his day just being near you.

He's got a quiet confidence about him. He moves through the world in his own way and doesn't seem bothered by much. He knows what he likes and what he doesn't. He's not a fan of being picked up, and things like nail trims and ear cleaning aren't high on his list either. But day to day, he's easy. Calm, gentle, and very content.

He does well with other dogs and tends to just coexist peacefully. Sometimes he'll even cuddle up next to them, but he's not looking to join in on any chaos. He's more of a "find a soft spot and stay there" kind of guy.

Puddle is looking for a home that understands him. Someone patient, someone kind, and ideally someone familiar with senior or special needs dogs. He just needs a steady presence and a safe place to spend his time. Think he might be a good match for you? Please inquire today!
