But once he realizes he's safe, his loving personality begins to shine.

Every now and then, you catch a glimpse of the playful dog hiding beneath all that caution, and it's enough to make you smile. It's as if he's slowly realizing that life doesn't always have to be scary.

We truly believe the best version of Puck hasn't introduced himself yet.

In the Home
Puck is still settling into foster care, and we're learning more about him every day.

He walks beautifully on a leash and looks to his people for reassurance when something in the world feels overwhelming. With a little encouragement, he relaxes and keeps going.

He kennels well while his foster is at work and sleeps comfortably in his kennel overnight.

With Other Dogs
Puck is currently living with another dog.

They're being introduced slowly, and while they aren't freely interacting just yet, Puck has shown friendly interest and seems to enjoy having a furry roommate nearby. Based on what we've seen so far, we think he'll likely do well with another respectful dog.

With People
Puck is friendly, but shy when meeting new people.

Once he begins to trust you, his affectionate personality blossoms. Watching him build confidence and realize he's safe is one of the sweetest parts of fostering him.
With Kids
We haven't had the opportunity to see Puck around children.

With Cats
We haven't had the opportunity to see Puck around cats or other small animals.

Training & Care
Puck knows "sit" and is currently working on potty training.

More than anything, continued training will help build his confidence. He responds well to patient encouragement and positive experiences and seems to genuinely want to do the right thing.

Ideal Home
Puck would thrive with a family that's willing to let him settle in at his own pace.

He doesn't need someone to rush him. He needs someone who will celebrate the little victories, encourage his growing confidence, and smile every time another piece of his playful personality shines through.

We truly believe he's going to make an incredible companion for the family willing to show him that the world isn't such a scary place.

A Note from the Foster
One of our favorite memories of Puck was meeting him at the shelter.

In the middle of all the noise and chaos, he quietly splooted out on the floor the moment he found a peaceful spot. It perfectly captured who he is. Gentle, sweet, and simply looking for a place where he could finally relax.

Promise Pup Highlight
Every day, Puck gets a little braver.

Every day, we get to see a little more of the happy, carefree dog he's always deserved to be.

The Promise Moving Forward
We promise Puck that one day he'll have a family who makes him feel safe enough to be exactly who he is.

A family who cherishes him, celebrates every step forward, and reminds him every single day that he belongs.

We'll keep that promise until the day he finally goes home.
