PUCCA's Story

WATCH MY VIDEO...Some dogs come to the shelter because they were unwanted. Pucca's story is different.

This lovely, gentle 8-month-old Pit Bull mix was deeply loved by her family from the day she was a tiny puppy. She wasn't just a pet, she was part of the family and served as an emotional support animal for the people who cared about her most. Sadly, when the landlord would no longer allow her to stay, they were left with an impossible choice. With heavy hearts, they surrendered the dog they loved, hoping someone else would give her the life she deserves.

At just eight months old, Pucca is still very much a puppy, full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for life. Her family reported that she gets along wonderfully with adults, children ages 5 and older, other dogs, and even cats. She is housebroken, crate trained, and already has many of the skills that make her a wonderful companion.

Pucca's favorite place to be is right next to her people. Whether she's climbing into your lap for cuddles or curling up beside you on the couch, she loves being close to the humans she trusts. She has a sweet, affectionate nature that makes it easy to fall in love with her.

An active girl, Pucca is used to regular exercise and enjoys running and playing. She has visited dog parks and generally enjoys canine company, although very large dogs can sometimes make her a little nervous. When she needs to go outside, she'll politely scratch at the door to let you know. One thing she doesn't enjoy, however, is getting in the water. She'd much rather keep all four paws safely on dry land!

What makes Pucca so special isn't just her training, her manners, or her friendly personality. It's the fact that despite losing the only home she's ever known, she still greets the world with love in her heart.

Pucca didn't do anything wrong. She simply needs a new family to continue the story that was interrupted. A family who will cherish her, laugh at her puppy antics, welcome her cuddles, and make sure she never has to wonder where she belongs again.

If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a gentle soul and a heart full of love, Pucca is waiting to meet you.
