Proff's Story

Meet Proff! Originally from Lebanon, Proff made his way to Canada in 2022 in search of a better life — and he’s been proving ever since what a truly special dog he is. After spending 3 years with his family, he is once again on the hunt for his forever home.

Calm, gentle, and affectionate, Proff has a soft soul and an even softer spot for anyone who shows him love. He’s deeply grateful for attention and physical touch, often resting quietly by your side while you go about your day. Whether you’re cooking dinner, watching TV, or just relaxing, Proff is happiest when he’s part of it all.

Proff has medium-to-high energy and loves his daily walks. The more activity he gets, the happier and more balanced he becomes. He enjoys playing with other dogs and absolutely loves chasing bubbles. Outdoors, he can get a little excited when meeting other dogs on leash, wanting to greet them and play, but with time and consistency, he’s learning to stay calm. When off leash, he’s actually quite mellow and sometimes even shy. Indoors, he’s peaceful, content, and very easy to live with. He’s not destructive or pushy, and is eager to connect and be included in his families activities. He’s also shown no issues with people and greets new faces warmly. He’s still getting used to crate training but has made steady progress, especially when he can see or hear someone nearby.

Proff would thrive in a home with plenty of companionship and affection. He’s not a dog who would enjoy being left alone for long stretches, so a family with someone home most of the day, or with another calm, friendly dog to keep him company, would be ideal. He’d also do best in a quieter environment without overly dominant or territorial dogs.

At around five years old, Proff strikes the perfect balance between playful and serene, still full of curiosity and wonder, but with the patience and gentleness of an old soul. He’s the kind of dog who will quietly follow you from room to room, grateful just to be near you. This beautiful boy has come such a long way, and he’s ready to find his forever family — one that will give him the love, stability, and companionship he’s been waiting for.

WORDS FROM HIS FOSTER:

Proff came to me as a shy introverted dog too nervous to step away from my feet. Since then he’s shown himself to be warm, loving, curious and playful. He loves other dogs and is slowly learning to play more and more. He’s very gentle and loves to be wherever I am whether it’s cooking dinner or watching tv. He’s a great first dog for a family or individual with a hybrid or home work situation. I love Proffy.

If you have any further questions regarding Proff or would like to meet him please email adoption@rescuealldogs.org

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PROFF PLEASE APPLY BELOW.
