Princess Olivia's Story

Hi, my name is Princess Olivia and I am a beautiful baby Staffie mix who is just 4 months old and I weigh 20 pounds now so I'll probably be around pounds when I'm fully grown. I was found in someone's backyard but I'm safe and happy with Long Road Home Rescue now and looking for my forever family.

I'm a very cute little girl and my Foster Mom says I'm so sweet and smart because I've already got the hang of potty training. She says I'm a little goofy and love other dogs and everyone I meet. She thinks its so funny and charming the way I follow her around and just want to please her. I love to play with my foster doggie sibling and get lots of belly rubs too. I'm just waiting for my new forever family to come get me! I'm hoping they have a home in the suburbs with a fenced in yard so I can play and romp around all day. I'm healthy and up to date on all my vaccines and chipped too....I'm too young to be spayed but Long Road Home will help my new family coordinate that at the right time. I'm in no rush! :) Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to get lots more info and pics of me!

Long Road Home's Adoption Policy
Where do we get our dogs? Majority of our dogs come from high kill shelters. Some are owner surrender or strays. All of the dogs that come into our rescue have been in high emergency situations where they would not be wagging their tails. We work with a lot of shelters in the south as well as on long island. We have wonderful people who dedicate their time to the dogs and transport them into our long island foster homes. What happens to the dog after we accept it into the program? All of the dogs first go to see a vet. Once they receive a clean bill of health the go into a home. We normally give each dog at least a week in a home with qualified trainer before we place the dog into a foster. We really like to have the dogs house broken and to have at least started basic obedience training. After the trainer we place the dog into its new foster home until it finds its forever home.
