Love, Princess<br/><br/>9/12/26-Princess is still looking for her furever home. She is an energetic and loveable little girl. She loved catching the grass while I was trimming the yard. She greets people with kisses and a wagging tail. Princess received a nice bath and trim compliments of volunteer Jeanine. Princess had a wonderful play date with her dogs. She was great with her dogs but was very afraid of a rambunctious little dog who only wanted to play. Most of the time she is the rambunctious one. Lol Still working on going outside to do her business, uses pads inside, she is great on a leash, and she does not mind car rides. Princess will make a great family addition to your home.<br/><br/>9/10/26-We had someone who knows the Maltese breed meet Princess today & they said her hair & ears are not like a Maltese. Her coat is course and thin and her ears are pointed up & much resembled a terrier. So even though we were told the owner said she was a Maltese, we now feel she is most likely a Terrier/Maltese mix, but only a DNA test by her new owner will tell. Not matter what she is, Princess is definitely sweet & adorable & looking for her new home still. <br/><br/>9/4/26-Princess has come a long way since she arrived in foster care. She jumps on furniture and beds with ease. She has gained more confidence while jumping down. She still aggravates my senior dog and two cats. She leaves my other two dogs alone. The cats are losing patience with her. They should be showing her who is boss any day now. Princess is less stressed on car rides since her confidence is growing. Still working on her outside bathroom duties but she will use the potty pads. Princess alerts us to strange sounds coming from the outside. Princess is starting to play with dog toys. She still needs to be crated when we leave for any length of time for her safety to prevent her from chewing things like envelopes, pens, and glass cases. Princess will be a wonderful addition to your family. She is ready for her new home!<br/><br/>8/27/26- Princess was spayed on Monday. She was very sleepy and did not want to eat anything when she came home which is normal. Tuesday morning she was back to her lively self, eating, and drinking. She tries to hump her foster siblings especially the cats and my senior dog. The other two dogs put her in her place. I am waiting until the cats have had enough and teach her who is the boss. Hopefully, that behavior will subside as her hormones decrease. She walks well on a leash but she put her paw breaks on when entering the exam room at the vets. She is learning to go outside to do her business. Princess will jump up on furniture but she very cautiously jumps down. She prefers to sleep with you at night. She spends time in her crate when we have to leave for a few hours. Princess is a bit scared on car rides. She probably thinks something bad is going to happen at the end of the ride. Princess will probably love them once she knows she will be safe. She likes to meet everyone. She hasn't been introduced to anyone under 5 yet. Princess tends to play bite and jumps up on you while you are walking. I stop and walk backwards to get her to stop jumping. She loves to give dog kisses. Princess is a very sweet and loving little lady.<br/><br/>8/20/26-Princess had her pre-spay appointment this morning. She now weighs 12 lbs. She spent her time in the waiting room sniffing all the smells, especially those on the scale. She went up to greet a couple of young girls that were there waiting for their dog. Princess was very interested in meeting one of the dogs that came out of the exam room. Princess will now be spayed on Monday 8/24 and will be available for adoption after that. Princess is a very sweet and friendly lady. <br/><br/>8/16/26-Meet Princess who arrived safely yesterday thanks to her transport volunteers. She was an owner surrender to a great shelter we work with & they were told she is an about 1 year old maltese. She was pulled by caretakers from a home that was filthy and the owner could not care for themself, let alone her. She was nervous when picked up from the shelter but very friendly and happy around the other 2 little dogs we got out of the shelter too. Thank you to a volunteer who gave her a bath and a trim. Princess is very sweet and very friendly. She has been annoying her foster sibling dogs and they are teaching her some manners. Lol She loves to be near you and she loves to sit on your lap. Her pre spay appointment is this Thursday August 20th and her spay is scheduled for following Wednesday August 26th & then she will be ready for her new home. More information to come as her personality develops.
