This pretty 9 month old puppy came to us when her owner could no longer care for her and had to put her in the shelter. When one of the Shelter Survivors volunteers saw her picture on the shelter’s web site and was told how terrified she was to be in the shelter, she had to rescue her.

Princess is a medium sized dog, who we think has a mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and German Shepherd in her, but we will never know for sure. What we do know is that she weighs in at between 35 and 40 pounds and is completely house-trained. She is initially frightened of newcomers and new places, but warms up very quickly. She is never aggressive and has a friendly and affectionate personality, with both people and other dogs. After a couple of minutes with her new foster sister, a year old boxer, they played together like old friends. You can tell that, even though she is shy and appears scared at first blush, there is a playful little puppy waiting to come out.

Princess’s favorite activities include playing tug-of-war. She loves kisses and belly rubs. She is currently learning the “stay”, “sit” and “lay down” commands. Princess has a great personality and is eager to learn and also to make you smile. She is spayed and up to date on all her shots.

If you think you can provide a good home for Princess, fill out an application for her today.
