Meet Princess — a sweet, silly, and affectionate 6-month-old pup who truly lives up to her name! This adorable Lab/Pit mix currently weighs about 26 pounds and is expected to grow to around 40 pounds. With her beautiful apricot/beige coat accented by white and cream markings, she’s just as stunning as she is lovable.<br/><br/>Princess came to Dogworks as an owner surrender due to housing restrictions, not because of anything she did wrong. In fact, she was raised in a busy home with two adults and eight children, so she absolutely thrives in a lively, love-filled environment and is very comfortable around people of all ages.<br/><br/>This girl is the definition of a “snuggle bug.” She loves being close to her humans and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. Princess enjoys spending her days hanging out with her foster, chewing on bones, and learning how to play with toys (which is just as cute as it sounds!). She also loves running and playing with other dogs, especially a good game of tug-of-war.<br/><br/>Princess is eager to please and already knows commands like “sit” and “leave it.” She responds well to verbal correction and is highly motivated by treats, making her a great candidate for continued training. She’s still working on a few puppy manners—like not jumping when she’s excited and getting comfortable being alone—but with consistency, she will continue to blossom.<br/><br/>She does best with a routine and currently goes outside frequently for potty breaks, doing great with consistency. She is crate trained at night, though she would much prefer to curl up with her people. During the day, she may whine or howl if crated, as she really just wants to be part of the action.<br/><br/>Princess would thrive in a home where she isn’t left alone for long periods. She would love a family with kids, other dogs, and plenty of attention and activity. A fenced yard is required, as she is still learning recall and has shown she can sneak under fencing if given the opportunity—this curious girl likes to explore!<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, playful companion who will shower you with kisses and keep you smiling every day, Princess might just be your perfect match. <br/><br/>She is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
