Princess's Story

Princess 👑
Don’t let the name fool you—this sweet girl is more than just royalty, she’s got a heart of gold. Princess can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she is incredibly loving and gentle. And let’s be honest… she is absolutely adorable 💕
Princess recently came into our care after becoming very ill. She has a history of urinary stones and had undergone a cystotomy less than a year ago. After that surgery, she needed to stay on a prescription urinary diet to keep the stones from coming back. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, and the stones returned.
When Princess arrived to us, she was unable to urinate and needed an emergency second surgery to remove a large number of stones. It was a big procedure with a big cost, and her previous owner made the difficult but selfless decision to surrender her so she could get the care she needed.
Now she’s on the road to recovery and ready for a fresh start 💛
Princess prefers a calm environment. She enjoys her personal space and would do best with slow introductions to other animals. She has lived with another dog before and can coexist, but she’s not looking for a best friend—more of a respectful roommate situation. She’s not a fan of cats and will let other animals know when they’re being too much, but she doesn’t seek out conflict.
She’s also a bit of a couch potato (relatable 😌) and could stand to lose a few pounds, so a home committed to keeping her on her special diet and helping her stay healthy is a must.
Princess has been through a lot, but she’s still so full of love to give. She deserves a home where she’ll be cared for, understood, and treated like the queen she is.
If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion, Princess might just be your perfect match.
