Little Prince is a timid 5 year old and 28 lbs handsome boy who, despite his name, has not had a fairy tale life. Sadly, Prince was surrendered to the city shelter when his owner’s children were reportedly abusing him. In the owner’s own words, their 4 children mishandled and beat him. For a small dog who had never known much kindness or love, Prince is incredibly smart with a large repertoire of tricks (stay, sit, go, down). His adorably large ears make it easy for him to hear commands! Prince likes to go for walks, has a medium energy level, and gets along with other dogs. All in all, Prince seems like a very good boy who grew up in a not-so-good environment.

We believe that in a normal, calm home with positive-reward based training will make him the most wonderful companion. Because of his recent abuse, Prince should not be crated and can not go to a home with children under 13 years old, but he did live with another dog just fine. Between his previous home and the chaotic city shelter, Prince has never known what it’s like to feel safe and loved before his foster home, where he is doing well. He will be a little shy, but it is heart warming to see his little face become more and more relaxed. And, yes, he is such a CUTIE!
Prince is neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped.
