Precious is a beautiful, strong, 60 lb black and tan coonhound, who is around 3 years old. Her dad was a 70-year-old Veteran who had been struggling with advancing dementia. Over the past few months, he lost his apartment and was doing everything he could to keep his girl safe. Her dad contacted HoundSong as he wanted what was best for his beloved hound.<br/><br/>Precious is now ready to find her new family who will give her all the stability and love she deserves. She is housebroken and crate trained, loves to go for walks, great with kids (although she could easily knock over little ones), and loves to play. You could throw a ball all day for her, and she would not tire of it. But she can entertain herself as well. She responds well to commands and takes correction well. She would do best with doggy playmate. She really prefers to sleep in bed with her people and has done so all her life. And, of course, she has all the behaviors of a young coonhound including counter surfing and wolfing down her food. All our dogs live in foster homes, so a meet and greet will have to be scheduled with the foster family.<br/><br/>HoundSong Rescue dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. HoundSong Rescue also offers Fi Collars for an additional $100 fee. Fi Collars are GPS collars with many other features we find valuable when owning a hound.
