Precious

Precious is a sweet 10 year old GSP female who is available for adoption in northwest Arkansas. She came to rescue as part of a breeder relinquish with 6 other adult females last June. Precious had been attacked by a snake in her kennel at the breeder facility, and the bites became terribly infected. It’s taken 6 rounds on antibiotics and two surgeries to remove necrotic tissue, but we finally think she’s in the clear. She is a shy dog, as she didn’t get much socialization with her breeder, but she is very sweet. She adores children and is safe with small ones. She takes treats gently and does not jump. She LOVES other dogs, especially GSPs. She is cat sharp and is scared of fireworks. She currently knows how to use a dog door. She is ok on car rides and walks ok using a half hitch tied leash. She typically is not a big puller, but she does present as nervous in new environments. She rides fine in a car with no sickness. She realllly does not like baths. She has not been crate tested. She is sneaky with toys, socks, shoes….. Uggs. She enjoys having her own dog bed to curl up on at night, but she does like to get on the sofa when invited. She will require a home with physical fencing and patience to gain her trust, plus a good sense of humor if she steals and chews your things.<br/><br/>She is fostered in Fayetteville, AR.
