I'm a bit of a shy guy but once I know you, I'm your best friend. Strangers are scary so of course I must Bork-Bork at everyone to let you know who is around! Staff think I lived with another small dog, but let's take it slow with introductions. I love my walks, one on one time, and sporting cute shirts! I don't know if I've met small humans before, and I think I might be too scared to live with them. Staff have seen me get a bit nippy if I'm pushed too quickly out of my comfort zone. If we take things at my pace, I do much better. Come on in during adoption hours to see if I'd be the perfect addition to your family. *Please note that all information is from this pet’s prior home history and/or experiences in the shelter. Minneapolis Animal Care and Control's Adoption Policy

All adoptions are being done by appointment only at this time. All appointments are made in the order we receive the request. Call 612-673-6222 to request an appointment to ensure the quickest response. To adopt a pet from MACC, you must: Complete an application Pay an adoption fee Be at least 18 years of age Have a current picture identification that shows your age and current address Purchase a pet license if a resident of the City of Minneapolis Commit to behavior training, providing medical care, and giving humane treatment and companionship throughout the life of the animal Check your lease to be sure you can have pets and that there are no size, weight, or breed limitations. MACC reserves the right to deny any adoption application. MACC does not hold animals and adopts on a first come, first serve basis. No partial payments or down payments are accepted. Although all animals are given an exam prior to becoming available for adoption, MACC cannot guarantee that these animals have not been exposed to an illness prior to coming to our shelter.
